Ying Jie Blade

SLOT none CL 12th WEIGHT 2 lbs. AURA strong Evocation

Before the Urian Peace, a young Xian slave, named Ying Jie, caught the eye of Colonel Gais Aldus Septimus because of his sword play with a battered but foreign sword. Colonel Septimus manumitted the young man, who taught the Colonel both his style, and history. Serving at the Septimus’ side, Ying Jie proved his worth, saving Septimus’ life on more than one occasion. The 9 ringed sword the Xian carried was lost to time.

This is a +1 9 Ringed Sword.

First Triumph: The 9 rings of the sword are linked to its power. As they are unlocked, the rings become untarnished and visible. The first two rings are made of a Clear Crystal, which activates Glamred and a Silver alloy, activating Advancing. At each level, one to two more rings will activate at random, adding their effects. Each effect can be used as many times a day as rings are active. So, at First Triumph, this is 2 x a day per effect.

The Rings (in order along the sword) are:

1-Clear CrystalGlamred
2-Silver AlloyFeat: Step Up
3-GreyAdamantine
4-RedFlaming
5-WhiteFrost
6-BlueSonic Shock (1d6 Sonic Damage)
7-YellowShock
8-GreenCorrosive
9-PurpleGhost Touch

Second Triumph: +2 Enchantment Bonus, 1 Ring becomes active (3 rings total)

Third Triumph: +3 Enchantment Bonus, 2 Rings Become Active (5 Rings Total)

Fourth Triumph: +4 Enchantment Bonus, 2 Rings Become Active (7 Rings Total)

Fifth Triumph: +5 Enchantment Bonus, 2 Rings Become Active (9 Rings Total)
