Weilin is a young woman who dresses in traditional styled chinese clothes. She comes acrossas young and somewhat naive and nerdy. She is prone to technobable, especiallywhen she is excited.

History

Born in November of 2000 in China, Weilin Jian grew up immersed in both tradition and innovation. Like many in China, she took her astrological sign seriously. She was born a Metal Dragon. This was reinforced by her family, who instilled in her a respect for ancestral knowledge. Weilin’s own leanings were gravitated toward scientific inquiry and reason. However, she found a blending of the past and the future, particularly where the boundaries of physics, resonance, and perception blurred. Weilin showed early brilliance in math and engineering, and her unique blend of intuition and analytical rigor earned her a spot at the University of Jacksonville in 2018.

While in undergraduate school, Weilin started working for Tesla on their battery technology group. This was first an internship, then she was offered a job after her intelligence and innovation were known. This was when Dr. Ziv first noticed her.

After completing her undergraduate studies Summa Cum Laude, Weilin entered the university's graduate program in applied physics, specializing in theoretical harmonics and experimental spatial modeling. Though quiet and reclusive, she stood out to a few professors for her ability to bridge abstract theory with real-world application. She often worked late into the night in one of the university’s forgotten labs, surrounded by a fusion of traditional Chinese objects and self-modified scientific equipment.

In early 2025, everything changed.

A nondescript envelope arrived, slipped into her on-campus mailbox, addressed to “Weilin, From “Dr. Miriam Ziv”. Inside was a strange tomb. It was an print out of sorts, and heavilty annotated, with the title: Reflections on Power which was in fact, a copy of the Kitab al-Alaczir. It brimmed with strange diagrams and footnotes that turned the known laws of physics into suggestions. Weilin read it cover to cover in a single night, and something inside her awakened. On March 14th, 2025, Weilin initiated a solo experiment to harness zero point energy using a design from the Kitab, augmented with her own equations. The results exceeded comprehension: the device worked—and more. A rupture appeared in the air itself: red-tinted reflections, non-Euclidean echo patterns, and voices speaking in colors spilled into the room. Her Awakening tore through reality like a beacon. This ended up binding the pattern sprit to her. The newly aware spirit is “Lucky Chan”.

University authorities blamed a failed superconducting experiment and sealed the lab for safety. The Sons of Ether, however, knew what it meant.

Since that day, Weilin’s her coursework has visibly suffered. Professors have noted her absences and declining academic performance, but they continue to allow her research access due to her previous excellence—and perhaps some subconscious awareness of what really happened. Interestingly, her work performance for Tesla has not slacked off.

For the past four months, she’s has spent her waking hours in the lab, building experimental devices and refining her understanding of the fractured reality she glimpsed.

Weilin receives occasional encrypted messages from Dr. Ziv who sent her the Kitab. She sometimes email her complex formulae or paradoxical koans. The messages offer riddles and fragments of insight but refuse formal mentorship, claiming “Our timelines intersect too unpredictably.” Her latest message is: “You’re not broken, Weilin. You’re the breach. Seek the others near you.”

Now, as June 2025 begins, Weilin stands at the threshold of transformation. Still officially enrolled, but drifting further into the truth behind the curtain, she balances the remnants of her academic life with the quiet, hurricane of her Awakening.
