Born into wealth but drawn to wonder, Jessie Calloway grew up as the free-spirited youngest son in a powerful Jacksonville real estate family. Unlike his older siblings Julian and Rebecca — both high-achievers molded in their father’s image — Jessie was deemed the family eccentric, chasing sensation, insight, and art rather than success in business or law. His mother, Ellen, always quietly supported his explorations, seeing in him the life she might have lived.

Jessie’s magickal Awakening came during a ghost-hunting adventure at a newly developed beachfront property that had scared off every would-be buyer. Alongside his childhood friends Mae and Ray, Jessie discovered not a ghost, but a powerful and unstable Mind-aspected Node. When a scanner triggered a surge, everyone else blacked out — and Jessie encountered Even, a mysterious elfin Avatar, who urged him to open his mind. In the moment of contact, Jessie channeled the node’s wild energy and tamed it.

With Doc Ramish's help, Jessie was recommended to the Sahajiya (Cult of Ecstasy) and began formal training. He later purchased the entire property — with his father’s support and discreet funding from fellow Awakened — and transformed it into Moon and Wave Suites, an upscale beachfront hotel. Above it sits The Dolphin, a luxurious club and spiritual sanctuary built over the node itself. The club functions both as a sensual haven and a sacred space, with the Calloway’s Castaways bar and microbrewery collecting tass from the node.
