Tabitha Perez is the daughter of His Grace the Duke of Iderati. Like many idle nobility, the young woman was bored. She met a young man, Lumar Adell, and the two moved to Karin. Tabitha immediately fit into the upper class “who’s who” in the nation of Roosevelt.
In following years, Tabitha found she loved her adopted home to become a citizen of the nation-state, and began working in the politics of the Independence Movement. Lumar was unable to share her passions, and the two drifted apart until there was an ugly public break up. The rejected Lumar used his contacts to enter into the Navy, and was soon attached to an Admiral’s staff.
As she engaged in the movement, Tabitha found herself the target of a group of nobles seeking to undermine her and the Independence movement. Rejecting their extortion, Tabitha employed the help of Neil Powers, agent working for Thunderbird, to both protect her name and collapse the conspiracy. The unmasking of several actors working against the interests of Karin Independence was a major factor leading to the first Planetary Congress in 1093.
Tabitha was well engaged with the first Planetary Congress, working to get it set up and send delegates from the various nations. As the daughter of an Imperial subsector Duke, she carried significant weight. While not a delegate to the first Planetary Congress, she did run to replace the Roosevelt delegate for the Second Planetary Congress, defeating Benjamin Arton thanks to her driver for the day, Rutgers van de Ross and his timely information.
The next five years saw Tabitha deeply active in her role as delegate. The work of the Congress paid off, and in 1102, the Navy agreed to end its administration of the world, and the nations of Karin were free. While the Navy expected them to fall back into war, that is not what happened. Instead, the Congress worked for the various nations to ratify the new Constitution of the United Karin Confederation. From 1102 though 1104, Tabitha supported ratification across the planet, meeting with leaders of every nation.
By the end of 1104, Tabitha was ready to be done. Her work over the last decade had resulted in a strong ally in the newly elected President of the UKC, George Lincoln. But, she was tired with the constant fencing from pollical rivals, like Moyo Song and Clara Samuels. Tabiatha declined to run for office in the new UKC Congress, and instead retired from public life. She worked with her old friend from politics, Tupper Vilantes, to purchase a Safari ship the Solar Phoenix. Together, they planned to do some sight seeing.
