Ray is young man with an roguish demeanor and subtle smile. He moves with efficiency and purpose. Unless otherwise demanded, his dress is always casual.

Ray is a childhood friend of Jessie from middle school onwards, along with Mae The three of them were often compared to the lead characters in Harry Potter. Mae fit the bill of the one brilliant in school while Ray was very much Ron-like in his performance. Though, to be honest, Jessie was not much better. Ray graduated high school with a chef certification program and starting working in various local establishments. He quickly became a known name for being great at what he did, innovative in the kitchen and behind the bar. Ray also fell into more drug use and touched on some criminal connections, including run-ins with the Third Coast Kings gang (see below) protection racket.
